We're launching a new blog series - #Ourownstories focused on the voices and experiences of Black creatives in London. Here's what you can expect from the series

We want City Inspired to be more than just a subscription box. It's also a space for the voices of the community to be heard. In many cases, these voices are missing - we often highlight the success of businesses but fail to acknowledge the founders that worked for years to build a reputable brand. Part of celebrating Black owned businesses is celebrating the people that made bring your favourite business to life. Thus at City Inspired we want vendors to share their experiences, highlights, challenges and more. How did they get started? What's it like to manage day job with entrepreneurship or even how to create a marketing plan?

To share these stories, we're starting a new blog series #Ourownstories. Featured in this series are profiles of Black owned businesses making it in the city. We're interviewing a wide range of businesses from the natural hair care beauty industry to creative arts. We've asked the businesses to share a window of their story, focusing on a specifics of their personal and professional stories. But we need help from our City Inspired community. We want to hear from you!

What questions do you have for Black business owners? Curious about how much it might cost to start a business? Interested in how to balance working full time while starting a new business? Ask any and all questions - that may get featured in one of our blog posts

We also want you to suggest which businesses we should reach out to. We're always looking for new business that are interested in joining the conversation on Black entrepreneurship. The series is launching later this month - the official date will be announced soon. So be sure to watch this space for more updates.
